Point Cloud Processing & Reality Capture Support
Experienced Point Cloud Processing. When Your Project Needs It.
Through RdesignR, I provide remote point cloud processing and technical reality capture support for surveying, geospatial and reality capture teams that need specialist expertise, technical support or additional processing capacity for complex reality capture projects.
Whether you are dealing with a single project, a difficult dataset or a temporary processing backlog, I can integrate into your existing workflow and provide experienced technical support where it is needed.

When processing becomes a cross-section
Reality capture teams can generate large volumes of spatial data quickly.
But processing capacity does not always scale at the same speed.
Several projects may overlap.
Field teams may capture data faster than internal teams can process it.
A complex registration may require additional attention.
Large datasets may need cleaning, optimisation or restructuring.
A deadline may leave no room for a processing backlog.
Or your internal team may simply need additional experienced capacity for a limited period.
Hiring permanent staff is not always the right solution.
That is where I can step in.
Through RDESIGNR, I provide specialist processing support that integrates into existing reality capture workflows whether for a single project, a complex dataset or ongoing technical collaboration.
How I can support your workflow?
Depending on the project, I can support:
Point cloud registration and registration review
QA/QC
Point cloud cleaning and optimisation
Large dataset organisation and handling
Georeferencing support
Dataset preparation
Export and deliverable preparation
Processing troubleshooting
Reality capture workflow optimisation
Project-specific technical support
The exact scope is defined around the available input data, software environment, project requirements and expected deliverables.
I can take responsibility for a clearly defined processing task or work alongside your existing technical team as additional specialist capacity.

Built around your workload
Not every project requires the same type of support.
That is why I work through three flexible engagement models.
🟠 Project support
For a defined dataset, processing task or reality capture project.
This is usually the simplest way to start working together.
You provide the project requirements, available data and expected output. We define the scope and timeline before processing begins.
Best suited for:
Individual projects
Defined processing tasks
Registration support
Complex datasets
Processing backlogs
Additional project capacity
🟠 Specialist support
For teams that need additional technical capacity or specialist input for a limited period.
This works well when the workload may evolve during a project or when your internal team needs experienced support across several related tasks.
Best suited for:
Peak workloads
Temporary capacity gaps
Technical troubleshooting
Workflow support
Multiple processing tasks
Short-term specialist involvement
🟠 Long-term Technical Support
For companies that regularly need access to additional processing capacity without expanding their permanent team.
Reserved capacity provides ongoing access to experienced external support when project volumes increase or internal resources are stretched.
Best suited for:
Recurring processing requirements
Fluctuating project workloads
Regular overflow capacity
Ongoing project pipelines
Long-term technical collaboration
Start with one project.
You do not need to commit to an ongoing arrangement from the beginning.
We can start with a single project or dataset.
This allows me to understand your workflow, software environment, technical requirements and expected deliverables while giving your team a straightforward way to evaluate how we work together.
If ongoing support makes sense, the collaboration can scale from there.
One project → Additional support → Reserved processing capacity
Every reality capture project is different. Some teams need help with a single registration challenge, others require additional support across an entire processing workflow. My role is to understand the technical requirements first and then integrate into the project where I can create the most value.

Who I work with?
This service is designed primarily for professional teams already working with reality capture and spatial data.
◉ Reality Capture Companies
Additional processing capacity when field production or project volume exceeds internal resources.
◉ Surveying & Geospatial Companies
Specialist support for point cloud datasets, registration, georeferencing and processing workflows.
◉ Architecture & Engineering Teams
Technical support for reality capture data used within wider design, documentation and engineering workflows.
◉ BIM & Scan-to-BIM Providers
Point cloud preparation and processing support before data moves into downstream modelling workflows.
◉ Technology Partners & Service Providers
Independent specialist support for customer projects, technical workflows or project-specific processing requirements.

In many cases, the technology, field capability and data are already there. The missing piece is additional experienced capacity to move the data through the workflow.
How we work together?
Project Overview ⟶ You share the available data, project requirements, software environment, expected deliverables and timeline.
Scope ⟶ We define the processing tasks, responsibilities and required output.
Processing ⟶ I work on the agreed scope independently or alongside your existing technical team.
QA & Delivery ⟶ The processed data is reviewed and prepared according to the agreed project requirements.
Ongoing Support ⟶ If additional capacity is needed again, we already have an established working relationship and workflow.
The objective is simple:
to make external specialist support feel like an extension of your existing technical capacity.

Why work with an external specialist?
Because reality capture workloads are not always predictable.
An experienced external specialist can help when:
several projects overlap;
field production creates a processing backlog;
an unexpected deadline appears;
internal capacity is temporarily stretched;
a large or complex dataset requires additional attention;
specialist input is needed for a specific workflow;
additional capacity is required without creating a permanent role.
My role is not to replace your internal team.
It is to provide additional experienced capacity when your team needs it.
Experience across the reality capture workflow
My approach is shaped by more than 15 years of hands-on experience across reality capture, spatial documentation and geospatial data workflows.
I have worked across field data acquisition, registration, georeferencing, point cloud processing, optimisation, QA/QC and the preparation of spatial data for further use.
This broader experience helps me understand where an individual processing task fits within the complete project workflow.
Because a point cloud is rarely the final objective.
It is part of a process that needs to deliver reliable information for whatever comes next.
What this service does not include
To keep the scope clear, Point Cloud Processing & Reality Capture Support does not automatically include:
Full Scan-to-BIM production
Architectural BIM modelling
Revit modelling
CAD drafting
Architectural or engineering design
Surveying certification
Legal land surveying
Field data acquisition
Where a project requires additional services or expertise, these can be discussed separately or delivered in collaboration with appropriate project partners.
